Non-Program Certifications MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) MOS is a series of certifications on Microsoftâ Officeâ products. There are two levels of certification for each application component of Office; Core and Expert. Computer Support Educational Center offers three levels of training for each application to help prepare even the most novice Office user for either of the two certification levels. IC3 (Internet and Computing Core Certification) IC3 covers the essential computing skills for today's fast-paced and technology-rich society. The IC3 certification is divided into three main categories: Computing Fundamentals, Key Applications, and Living Online. The Computing Fundamentals program includes key areas of computer hardware, software, and operating systems. The Key Applications section includes an acquaintance with basic uses of Windows Applications, and then goes on to more specific things like word processing and spread sheet composure. The Living Online Sections covers topics such as networking, email, using the Internet, and the impact of technology on society. The A+ class is designed to prepare the student for the A+ certification exam. This includes comprehensive training on PC hardware, software, operating systems, networking and troubleshooting. A+ certification is a major factor many employers consider when reviewing job applicants for technology related occupations. Network+ Certification is an industry-wide, vendor neutral certification program developed and sponsored by CompTIA. This certification shows you have basic competency in the physical support of networking systems.
